Servicing much of the New England area, National Grid is a utility service provider that offers gas and energy to certain regions. They offer their customers many ways to pay their monthly bills, which are discussed in detail below.

Bill Pay Option 1: In-person Payments

To make a payment in person on your National Grid utility account, you can visit one of the company’s offices in your region. To find one near you, visit National Grid Ways to Pay web page and scroll down the page until you see the list of addresses.

Payment Option 2: Through a Bank Account

Many banks offer the option to make a National Grid bill payment through their various available bill pay systems. To find out more about this, check with your bank.

The old National Grid website of is no longer functional, but it does offer a link to the new address if you click the “Homepage” link. Once on the new site, you will need to click the “Sign In” link at the top of the page and select your region and service. On the login page that loads, click the “Register now” link above the login boxes and fill out the requisite information to create your online account with National Grid.

With the account created, you can make online payments by following these instructions:

  3. Choose your region and utility if prompted to
  4. Click “Pay by Bank Account”
  5. Input the account’s sign in ID and the password you chose during registration
  6. Click “Sign in”

  1. Place your mouse pointer over “Bills and payments” then select “Make a one time payment”
  2. Input your payment amount and your bank account details
  3. Submit and verify your payment

Option 5: Pay through Mail

To mail a payment in on your National Grid utility bill, you can place your check or money order made out to the company in the self-addressed envelope with the remittance slip that came with your monthly bill. If you no longer have the invoice from them but would still like to mail in your payment, prepare the check or money order for the amount you wish to pay and write your account number on it as well, then send it to the following address:
