Charter Communications Bill Payment Methods

Charter Communications offers a number of telecommunications services to its customers, including television, phone and internet connectivity. If you are a customer of Charter and would like to make a payment on your account, use the information in the appropriate section below.

Charter Communications Online Payments

There are a few different ways that you can make an online payment to Charter, and most of them can be done through the company’s website. However, you will first have to set up an online account by going to the Charter online account creation area and filling out the forms, which will ensure your online profile is linked to your account. After you have completed this process, you can then go to the pay bill login area where you will enter your account’s user name and password into the fields labeled as such.

After logging in, you have the option to set up automatic payments, make a single payment or schedule a payment for the future. When paying online using one of these methods, you can use checking account, savings account, debit card, Visa, MasterCard or Discover to submit the transaction.

Option 2: Pay Charter Communications over the Phone

A Charter Communication payment may be made over the phone, and there are two different options available to those depending on how they would like to conduct the transaction. You can send a payment using an automated phone system or by speaking with a Charter customer service representative.

To use the automated phone payment service, you will have to dial (888) 438-2427 and simply follow the audio instructions to get to the area that you need to be in to submit the bill payment.

A live representative may be reached by calling the same phone number, but instead choosing to speak to an agent rather than going through the standard phone menu options. However, you should know that you will be charged a $5.00 fee when submitting a payment in this manner.

Make a Charter Payment through the Mail

To make a payment on your Charter Communications account through the mail, you are going to need to prepare a check or a money order made out to Charter Communications and write your full account number on the check or money order. For best service, you should send the payment using the envelope and remittance slip that was included with the monthly bill that you receive in the mail. Once you have the payment prepared to send out, you should go to the Charter Communications web page about the Charter mailing addresses. On that page, you will find the correct address that you will need to send your check or money order to based on wherever you live.

Option 4: In-Person Charter Communications Payments

For those of you who would like to make a payment on your account with Charter Communication in person, there are a number of options available to you. These include going to a Charter Store, MoneyGram payment center, Schnucks Market, Western Union Payment Center or a third party payment agent:

Charter Stores

You can find a Charter Store closest to you by using the company’s store locator. When making a payment at a Charter Store, you may use checking account, savings account, Visa card or Mastercard to complete the transaction.

MoneyGram Payment Center

To submit a payment at a MoneyGram payment center, you can find one by using the MoneyGram Locations service or by calling them at (800) MONEYGRAM (this is the contact page). When at the store, you will have to use the following information to complete the Charter Communications bill payment:

Receive Code: 7959 Account Number: Your Charter account number Company Name: Charter Communications City/State: Saint Louis, MO

Schnucks Markets

Charter Communications customers who live in the states of Illinois and Missouri may visit any Schnucks Market to submit a payment on their accounts. When making a payment using one of these locations, you should know that you can only pay in cash or check, you will be charged a $2.00 processing fee and that the only Charter-related action you can complete there is bill payment, nothing to do with service. You will have to go to the store’s Service Center Desk to do this.

You will also need to bring the following information with you to complete the transaction: Account number, your phone number, your (or the primary customer’s) name, and the current and statement balances.

Western Union Payment Centers

If you prefer to use Western Union to make your payments, you may do so at any of their locations with Western Union Convenience Pay – do not confuse that with Quick Collect. You are going to need your full 16-digit account number from Charter Communications and, like some of the other pay in-person locations, you can only pay your bill at a Western Union, not receive service or Charter equipment.
